As many of you know, I am currently studying with Gary Kraftsow at the American Viniyoga Institute in California. Every 6-months I make a 2-week trip. I’ve just returned home from my second session. I camp in the redwoods of northern California and study and practice for about 10-hours a day. The experience is both deeply rewarding and exhausting. This session was mainly focused on the human energy system and the practices of pranayama. We also studied the first chapter of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and continued our study of chanting.

As my study of yoga deepens, so does my appreciation. This ancient practice feels completely relevant to me. I am grateful to the many people that have carefully practiced, studied and shared this tradition for so many years (thousands!). I am thankful to have found a teacher with such a rich history and connection to the ancient tradition.

My practice has transformed my life. I am simply not the same person I used to be. I am a calmer, happier, less reactive version of myself. My body has become healthier, my spirituality has deepened and my heart has grown. I am passionate about this practice and so thankful that I am able to share it with my students.
